The Institute shall be making available 4 scholarships this year to financial members to enable them pursue tertiary studies at institutions which FIB recognises.

The following are guidelines and criteria for these scholarships:

1. The candidate shall be a current financial member of the Fiji Institute of Bankers (FIB) with at least two years continuing financial membership;
   
   
2. He shall be accepted by a recognized tertiary institution in Fiji for the completion of either a Certificate, Diploma, Degree or a Postgraduate Program;
   
   
3. The program of study must be related to the work areas in the Banking industry of Fiji;
   
   
4. The recognized institutions are- University of the South Pacific, Fiji National University, University of Fiji,  and Training & Productivity Authority of Fiji;
   
   
5. The candidate shall provide written support of his/her employer for FIB scholarship through the Human Resources Department;
   
   
6. The candidate shall be willing to sign a Bond for the scholarship value, continue employment in the Banking industry in Fiji after the completion of studies, and remain a member of FIB during the Bond period;
   
   
7. The scholarship shall be per semester, and limited to tuition fees only;
   
   
8. The scholarship amount shall be up to $1,000-00 per / member / semester and all payments shall be made directly to the tertiary institution;     and
   
   
9. All applications for the first semester are to be received by the FIB Secretariat by 15th February, and second semester by 31st May of each year.
