The following are the different categories of membership status which members can progressively achieve with the Institute:

  • Banker's Certificate Status

The usual means by which a member attains a Benker's Certificate (CFIB) status is by successfully completing appproved basic courses of FIB recognised educational Institutions together with at least three continuous years of work experience in a banking or financial institution.

  • Associate Status

The usual means by which a member attains a Benker's Certificate (AFIB) is by satifactory completion of appproved higher level courses offered by educational institutions recognised by FIB, in addition to possessing at least three years of continuous work experience in a banking or financial institution.

  • Fellow Status

Fellowship of the Institute (FFIB) may be awarded by the Council solely at its discretion to an Associate Status member who possess at least 15 years of continuous industry experience, five of which are to be at a senior management level

An "Honorary" Fellowship of the Institute (Hon. FFIB) may be conferred at the sole discretion of the Council upon any member for a distinguished and meritorious service either to the institute or to Fiji's banking and finance industry.

  • Life Membership

Life membership subcription is available to members employed by those banks sposoring the institute. The subscription payable is 20 time prevaling annual subscription.
